The research endeavour consisted of an exhaustive search of the existing literature and an exhaustive analysis of the studies. The authors noted various strengths of the study, including using a systematic review approach, including a wide variety of nursing research papers, and applying the Nursing Metaparadigm as a guiding framework for the research. In addition, the authors recognized many limitations, such as the absence of information on the quality of the research, the restricted number of studies that were included, and the absence of a focus on the influence of nursing theory on clinical practice.

Suggestion for Practice Based on Available Evidence

The results of this research study provide credence to the formulation of evidence-based practice guidelines that consider the nursing paradigm. This indicates that nurses should consider the four ideas of nursing, environment, person/client, and health when producing evidence-based practice recommendations.

In conclusion, the significance of theory in nursing research was underlined by the findings of this research study. The authors found evidence-based practice recommendations that embrace this theory and based those suggestions on the Nursing Metaparadigm, which served as a guide for the study. This research study highlights the relevance of theory in nursing research and the necessity for evidence-based practice recommendations that consider the four ideas that make up the Nursing Metaparadigm.
